Acrylic on Canvas Paper, then mounted on 1/2" pressboard (edges painted)
I found the reference photo for this puppy on pmp-art.com. and couldn't resist painting his portrait. Pmp-art graciously allows Artists to use their photos without fear of copyright infringement. Unless I take the photo myself or ask permission to use a friends photo, I use this site when I am looking for subject matter. My still life attempts are set up live, however. I have a gallery set up on that site
that directs you to the original reference photo and photographer.

Media: Acrylic on Gessoboard
A grouping of 4 birds so far. This one looks a little worried, I wonder what he sees.
When I adjusted the color of this photograph, I matched the painting for the bird and
in the process, the sky ended up a little less bright. It has a little more Phthalo Blue than
this picture shows, too. Cheers!

This is one of three in a bird series. I really like birds, and I'm trying to capture the same
painting style on all of them. I feel that the first one and this one are the look I was going
for, so will try to match the next few to that style (vs. the dove I painted yesterday).

Media: Acrylic on Heavy duty stretched canvas
Back stapled 1.5" thick, scene continues around the edges.
This ocean scene reminds me how much I love the ocean. The color of the water, the movement of the waves. I can almost hear it and feel the moisture in the air. The foam of the waves was quite the challenge, but I found that if I paint it upside down, it helps me to see the shapes and depth of color instead of trying to paint foam.
Contact me for shipping costs. The heavy duty canvases are pretty heavy weight wise. I'll have to bring it to the post office once I know the destination.

These flowers are Peonies. My husband does landscaping, so the picture was taken in one of his customers' yard. The surprising detail he got with his Iphone is wonderful, of course I made a few
artistic choices but I'm happy with the way it turned out. I was in the mood to paint something pretty, so this was just the ticket. This painting brings me joy, I hope it gives you joy too!

This painting was done on a back stapled canvas. The edges are painted and there is a hanging wire
installed on the back. This is the second painting of a pair that I did. The tongue sticking out makes
me smile and it seems he is looking with admiration at the giraffe I posted yesterday. This pair looks
so cute together and is a wonderful conversation piece..

This Giraffe is one of a pair that I painted. I will post the other one tomorrow.
The look on her face is so classic, I just love this one. I enjoy painting animals,
especially if they have a cute or funny look on their faces.
